Václav Vallon

While studying medicine, Václav Vallon began taking private singing lessons with Prof Pavla Zumrová, and attended masterclasses run by the likes of Tom Krause, Peter Dvorský, Brigitte Lindner and Josef Protschka. He won numerous awards, including as part of the Riccardo Zandonai Singing Competition at La Fenice and at Ad Honorem Mozart. In 2011, he debuted at the Brno National Theatre as Tamino in a children's adaptation of The Magic Flute. This was followed by the part of Osmida in Domenico Sarri's baroque opera Didone abbandonata. At the National Theatre and Prague State Opera, he performed in roles such as Tamino, Monostatos, Ramiro and Flavio (Norma). He spent a long time working with companies Canto and Tichá Opera, and is also a devotee of religious music, regularly performing concerts with Collegium 1704. He has been a member of the Volkstheater Rostock's cast of soloists since the 2018/19 season singing in roles such as Alfredo (La Traviata), the first stranger (The Cousin from Nowehere), Jaquino (Fidelio) and Caramello (A Night in Venice), Male Chorus (The Rape of Lucretia) and Camille de Rosillon (The Merry Widow).
