Christian Grygas

Christian Grygas attended the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama in Hamburg and the Musikhochschule Lübeck. During this time, he sang the lead parts in Gianni Schicchi and Don Giovanni, which saw him nominated as singer of the year in 2001. His stint as a singer with the Lübeck Salon company took him all over the world on ZDF's Das Traumschiff. He has been a soloist at the State Operetta since 2005, playing numerous prominent roles, including lead roles in Gasparone und Cagliostro in Wien (Cagliostro , and as Dr Falke (Die Fledermaus), Fred Graham / Petruchio (Kiss me, Kate), Kruschina (The Bartered Bride), Cowardly Lion (The Wizard of Oz), Orin (Little Shop of Horrors), Frank Abagnale Sr (Catch Me If You Can) and Albin / Zaza (La Cage aux Folles). Christian Grygas regularly does guest performances at the Komische Oper in Berlin, most recently playing Agamemnon in Die schöne Helena (La Belle Hélène.
